Rake, Bag & Gloves, Please!

Over the weekend, Andy & Parker were playing in the backyard. Our flower beds were FULL of weeds & Andy decided to work on them. He sent Parker in to ask me for his rake, gloves & a garbage bag. I gathered everything & gave it to Parker to take out to Andy. A few minutes later Parker came running back in and asked for a rake, gloves & a garbge bag. It took me a few minutes to realize he wanted the items for himself. So we found our winter gloves, a potty-prize rake & a grocery bag. He was ready to work! He stayed outside the whole time "helping" Daddy. Parker wants to be just like Andy. I love seeing my two guys doing things together. It's just too cute!!

Happy Easter 2010!

Happy Easter 2010! We had a wonderful day! We started off with a great service at church & then headed to Nana & Papa's for the rest of the day. Mimi Sue & Mimi Barbara were there to help celebrate. There were lots of baskets, eggs, goodies & way too much yummy food! Here's a bunch of pictures from our day!

Happy Easter 2010!!

Easter Party

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's way! Actually it's come & gone, but I'm behind as usual!! Last Thursday was Parker's Easter party at school. First they had a visit from Mr. Easter Bunny, aka: Emma's Dad. Parker wanted NOTHING to do with the easter bunny!! I even told him that it was John in a silly costume, but nope...no pics with a giant bunny this year. In fact Parker keeps telling me he only likes "tiny bunnies" and wants the big bunny to "get away!"

Then it was off to the playground to hunt eggs! Parker found a dozen.

Then it was back indoors for cute easter themed party games.

This pic of Skye enjoying her loot cracked me up. She is getting to be quite the comedian.
But the biggest attraction for Parker & Skye was sweet little Liam. While he was trying to crawl & explore, they smothered him with hugs & kisses until he was rescued by his mama. Sorry Liam!

At the end of the party, the kids gave their parents the cutest little flower pots. They painted the pots & planted the flowers themselves....with a little help from their teachers. Parker was so proud of his plant! Can you tell?? Mommy, Parker & our plant. I'll try really hard to keep this flower alive!!
We also enjoyed having an out of town guest last week. My sister, Erin, came to spend part of her Spring Break with us. We had lots of fun & shopped till we dropped....literally!
Parker really enjoyed having an extra playmate. For the first couple of days he kept calling her "everybody" then shortened it to "buddy." I think by the last day he was using her name correctly.
We're looking forward to our next visit with "everybody!"
